GUIDELINES

Agápē and Venus are both fixed-dynamic zines. Whether it be in applications, the zine server, or final pieces, please respect that this is a space for bottom Phainon only.As the companion zine will feature NSFW content, we ask that all contributors be 18 years or older at the time of their application.Contributors will be expected to have a Discord account or be open to creating one, as it will be the primary means of communication.When submitting your application, ensure that all portfolios are accessible and easy to navigate. Google Drive is preferred, but other websites are accepted. Please double-check your sharing permissions.All deadlines must be respected. If you are unable to meet a deadline, you must contact moderators to request an extension at least 24 hours in advance.

PAGE ARTISTS

Page artists will be expected to complete at least one fully rendered illustration complete with a background. If you apply to both Agápē and Venus, you may be accepted to create for one or both.For each application, you will be asked to submit 3 samples of your best work, which should showcase the style and quality you intend to contribute to the zine.You will also be asked to submit a wider portfolio of any 5-10 pieces. Your samples may be included among these.Your portfolio may consist of both SFW and NSFW pieces, and you may submit the same portfolio for both applications. However, your samples should be SFW for Agápē and NSFW for Venus.Works featuring Phainon are highly encouraged but not required. Please keep in mind the zine's preferred dynamic.

MERCH ARTISTS

Merch artists will be expected to complete at least two pieces of digital merchandise. You are free to create SFW or NSFW merch as you see fit.You will be asked to submit 3 samples of your best work, which should showcase the type or types of merch you intend to create.You will also be asked to submit a wider portfolio of any 5-10 SFW or NSFW merch items. Your samples may be included among these.Works featuring Phainon are highly encouraged but not required. Please keep in mind the zine's preferred dynamic.

WRITERS

Writers will be expected to complete at least one polished fic with at least 1.5k words. The upper limit is 3k for SFW pieces and 5k for NSFW pieces. If you apply to both Agápē and Venus, you may be accepted to create for one or both.For each application, you will be asked to submit 3 samples of your best work, which should showcase the writing style you intend to contribute to the zine. Your samples should be SFW for Agápē and NSFW for Venus.At least 2 samples should be complete fics between 1k and 3k/5k words for SFW/NSFW. The remaining sample can be an excerpt from a longer work, but no sample should exceed 5k words.Works featuring Phainon are highly encouraged but not required. Please keep in mind the zine's preferred dynamic.

𖤓 Will Agápē be for-profit or free?
This will be determined by our interest check.𖤓 How will contributors be compensated?
If the zine is for-profit, all profits will be evenly divided among contributors and moderators. Regardless, all contributors will be compensated with a full bundle of the digital zine and merch.𖤓 What does SFW content entail for a fixed-dynamic zine? Do I have to portray Phainon in a particular way?
As long as the creative intention is in the spirit of the zine, contributors are free to make whatever they wish. Our goal is to be a safe space for bottom Phainon lovers with no further restrictions.𖤓 Is Agápē exclusively ship-centric or will solo Phainon content be accepted?
Solo Phainon content will be accepted for both the SFW and NSFW zines as long as it is created with bottom Phainon in mind. However, we will ask that contributors pitch at least one non-solo idea for the sake of variety.𖤓 Will X ship be allowed?
All Phainon ships of the appropriate dynamic are encouraged in this zine. As for selfcest, the mods of this zine consider Khaslana/Flame Reaver to be a separate person and it is acceptable both for him to top Phainon and for them to simultaneously bottom.𖤓 Can I create bottom Khaslana content without Phainon?
Out of respect for parties who do consider them the same person, yes, this will be allowed.𖤓 Can multiple contributors create content of the same ship or will it be a first-come first-serve situation?
Repeat ships will certainly be allowed. However, to the extent that our application pool permits, we would like to showcase a variety of different Phainon ships.𖤓 What about switch dynamics?
Versatile shippers are more than welcome to apply to the zine, but all zine creations must be made with respect to bottom Phainon only. In addition, contributors will be expected not to tag opposing dynamics on their works for this zine or to discuss them in the zine server.𖤓 Can I create content with darker themes?
Yes, all types of content will be allowed in both zines. Major content warnings will be specified within the zine if applicable.𖤓 Can I use leaked material in my piece?
Please only base your contribution off content that was officially released. If you want to modify your idea later in the creation period as the game is updated, you are free to do so.𖤓 What are the quotes in your social media posts from?
